Check back each day for more interviews with our participants!

Caleb Epps is an electronic musician, MC, bassist, and a composer/sound designer at Harmonix Music Systems. A native Cantabrigian, Caleb has also spent time in Los Angeles where he attended CalArts and served as a producer/MC for hip hop trio The Clik.

Now back in the Boston area, Caleb is currently a part of Oxytocin, a Harmonix based non-rock collective, and is bassist for The Holepunch Generation. He’s really psyched to be a part of the best One Night Band of all time.

BBC: What Boston rockers, past or present, would you most like to have a One Night Band with?
CE: Black Francis, J Mascis, Keith Fullerton Whitman, and Peter Prescott

BBC: What Boston rockers, past or present, would you most fear having a One Night Band with?
CE: Same as the above. I’d be utterly terrified to play with those guys

BBC: What is your normal song or part writing process? Will writing threesongs in a single day drastically differ from your usual approach to creating music?
CE: Definitely, I’m used to writing little bits of things at a time, and then coming back later and adding to them. I also usually write alone, so having a batch of other really creative, awesome, people will be a really exciting break from my usual mold.

BBC: What Boston band do you have the biggest crush on right now?
CE: Hmmm. This is tough as I have alot of friends in local bands. This may be more of a long-enduring love rather than a crush, but I have to give it to The Main Drag. I’ve known most of those guys since they were freshmen in college, and would DJ at some of the parties they played as the Blanks. Yours As Fast As Mine is an excellent album, and I’m really looking forward to hearing what they come out with next.
