Show Series Crush: Campfire at Club Passim this weekend

Constantly endeavoring to spread the gospel of folk music, Club Passim in Harvard Square will host the annual Campfire series over this Labor Day weekend. More than just the stereotypical singer / songwriter with an acoustic guitar and a song about hard times, this event will bring in as many styles as can possibly fit under the “folk” umbrella. Everything from roots Americana and depression ballads to more modern surf rock and goth inspired art folk will be present, and with such a diverse range of styles there is sure to be some wonderful pairings and one off collaborations in store.

Campfire begins this evening at 6pm and runs until closing time on Monday (full artist schedule here), and there are single day and full weekend tickets available. If you’re so inclined, take a look at Passim’s membership page for info on helping the nonprofit continue their mission to support, preserve and cultivate folk music.
