Show Crush: MEandJOANCOLLINS / Guillermo Sexo / Appomattox / Soft Pyramids

October 12, 2010

Twitter already has a few days of the week set up with special hashtags that users check or add to like clockwork. There’s #FollowFriday, for instance, and #MusicMonday, allowing people to promote their favorite Twitter users and find interesting bands. I propose adding a new weekly tag – #WillClarkWednesday. We can meet at Great Scott every Wednesday and tweet about how awesome their signature beverage is, how it enhances our rock experience and how we plan to blame it for future bad decisions.

As if they knew I was thinking about this, the fine folks at Great Scott and As Built PR have scheduled an awesome lineup for tomorrow night: MEandJOANCOLINS will blow the doors off with their dirty, sexy, turned up to eleven new wave rock monster. Garage prog enthusiasts Guillermo Sexo add bits of shoegaze to their rock, blurring the edges of their sound just enough to create something that seems incredibly structured and spontaneous at the same time. Brooklyn’s Appomattox and Somerville’s Soft Pyramids will start the night off right with their takes on powerful indie rock.

9pm / 18+ / $9
