Festival Crush: International Pop Overthrow this week at PA’s Lounge

November 1, 2010

This week, the International Pop Overthrow returns to Boston (well, Somerville) for its eighth annual pop spectacular, with five consecutive nights of six-band bills, all celebrating major chords, harmony, last chorus modulations, and maybe synchronized dance moves.  (Is anyone still doing that?)

The 2010 edition is being hosted at the venerable PA’s Lounge and runs from this Wednesday through a climactic Sunday night.  Taking a gander at the list of this year’s acts, I’m jazzed to see some IPO regulars still on board, holding down the fort year after year, alongside some new fresh and friendly names and faces.

All shows are ten buckazoids, 21+.
