Contest Crush: Win tickets to the SOLD OUT Sheila Divine / Hush Now / Fatal Flaw show at Great Scott tomorrow night

November 23, 2010

Predictably, the Sheila Divine / Hush Now / Fatal Flaw show at Great Scott has sold out early. Fear not, loyal readers, we were able to get our hands on one last pair of tickets (thanks to those super awesome people at Great Scott!). Exciting, right? Well it gets better – not only will you be able to see the newly reunited Sheila Divine perform amazing anthem rock in an intimate setting, but you’ll also be able to give back to the community.

The band will be collecting canned food for the Greater Boston Food Bank, dubbing the event “Warm Hearts Never Failing: A Thanksgiving Food Drive.” From their Facebook:

The Sheila Divine knows that we have the most generous fans in the world! That’s why we’re asking you to join us in donating food to the Greater Boston Food Bank (GBFB) by bringing a can of tuna or (plastic) jar of peanut butter to the Great Scott show on Wednesday, November 24. The band will drop off the food to the GBFB on Thanksgiving Day – just in time to provide a little more help and a little more hope for our neighbors during the holidays.
Due to the down economy, this is the first year that some local churches have had to discontinue offering their Thanksgiving meals, and the Salvation Army has cancelled their free Thanksgiving dinner as well. That’s why it’s more important than ever that those of us with a few extra dollars pitch in to help this year.

All you have to do to enter is send us an email with the word SHEILA in the subject line telling us what your favorite canned food is. This is a last minute contest, so the deadline to enter is 4pm today, but even if you don’t win the tickets there’s nothing stopping you from dropping off a few cans at the venue, we’re sure someone will bring them inside for you.
