Information Crush: Amy’s Shows List

January 20, 2011

This busy weekend starts with a busy Thursday. Personally I can see myself at multiple places for multiple bands, argh…clone time. At the Rosebud, it’s the Third Thursday with The Darlings and Dave Aaronoff + The Protagonists; at The Plough and Stars, it’s Mondo Thursdays with Jake Hill, Marc Pinansky and John Powhida and at Great Scotts, it’s The Concretes (from Sweden), Hooray for Earth (formerly of Boston) and You Can Be a Wesley. On Friday there’s a great show at TTs with American Hi-Fi, Kenny Chambers, Auto Interiors and Daily Pravda. If you were planning on seeing Ted Leo at the Brighton Music Hall, please note that this show has been postponed until April 27. Over at Pa’s Lounge The Hammond Group, Shakyfoot, The Fulltime Dreamers and Full Body Anchor perform. On Saturday the big show that I am so excited about is at TTs with Ed’s Redeeming Qualities. It’s an early show (so you can make to other shows afterwards) and has special guests including The Buckets, Jeffrey Gagnon (from the Well Babies), Kurt Davis (from Bullet Lavolta) and many many others. It’ll be an evening of quirky folk songs and readings and fun, can’t wait. Later on Saturday it’s the Second Annual Soozapalooza with The Candles, Missile Thrush, The Lights Out and the Kristen Ford Band at the Middle East Downstairs and The Dirty Truckers, AM Stereo and Brownboot are at the Rosebud. On Sunday night The Queers are at TTs and Bridget and the Squares are at O’Briens. Monday night at Charlie’s Kitchen, 007 Hundred Club perform their final show with guests By the Throat, With a Bullet and You’re Under Arrest. Also on Monday Ryan Walsh and Castle to Castle are at ZuZus and it’s free. Tuesday has Amber Spyglass, Broken River Prophet and Karen Zanes at Precinct. On Wednesday night The Bad Art Ensemble does their residency (last Wednesday of every month) at the Plough and Stars.
