Information Crush: Amy’s Shows List

Busy busy weekend. Starting on Thursday there are a bunch of great shows to check out. The Charms, Spirit Kid (Rumble finalists), Midnight Creeps, Geoff Useless and Jade Sylvan are at TT’s; Gymnasium and Butterknife are at the Rosebud; and Swedish group Peter, Bjorn and John are at the Paradise. On Friday night there’s Shari’s Birthday Bash with The Pills (doing a reunion show), The Shods (who were great at the Rumble last week and are doing another reunion show, yay!), Honest Bob & The Factory To Dealer Incentives, Ad Frank and Davina Yannetty at TT’s; and the Middle East Downstairs has Jesse Dee and Jordan Valentine + The Sunday Saints. Saturday is the first day of the Steampunk Festival in Waltham, check out details here. On Saturday night there’s the Annual St. Stanislaus Polka Party at the Polish American Club in East Cambridge with special guests Jenny Dee and Jordan Valentine, and at Precinct there’s a rocking show with Lyres, Satin Kittens, Port Charles Quintet and Triple Thick. Sunday is Mother’s Day so why not bring her to the Steampunk Festival? Sunday night has Young Widows, My Disco, Disappearer and Now Denial at Great Scott. Monday has Echo and the Bunnymen performing Crocodiles and Heaven Up Here at the Paradise; at ZuZu there’s Guillermo Sexo and Morgan Evans-Weiler. Tuesday has a great show for a great cause at Great Scott with the Tornado Relief Benefit Show with OldJack, Larcenist and The Wandas, and at the Midway is Thinking Fellers Union Local 282. And on Wednesday, the Middle East Downstairs has Kimya Dawson + Aesop Rock, Rob Sonic and DJ Biowiz.
