Information Crush: Amy’s Shows List

So many great shows happening, there are going to be some really tough choices this week. Thursday night if you’re looking for a hot soul/r+b show, Swamp Dogg and Tre Williams + Revelations are at Johnny D’s. While over at the Lizard Lounge Eleanor Friedberger (1/2 of the Fiery Furnaces) is performing. Also on Thursday is the I,Pistol cd release show at TTs with guests Taiwan Typhoon, The Rationales and Reverse. Friday night it’s Shaun Wolf’s 18th Annual Bastille Day A Go Go with Wolf’s Allstar Band and special guests Jordan Valentine & The Sunday Saints, AdFrank, Jed Parish, Holly Brewer & more at TTs. There’s also the Fredstock Benefit with Curious Ritual (reunion), The 360’s (reunion), Muck + the Mires, Black Fortress of Opium at Church and at the Midway Dave Herlihy of O Positive has a new band called Hey Dave. And if you’re heading to the Cape, The Beachcomer has the always amazing Old 97s. Saturday night has kicking lineup at the Cantab with My Own Worst Enemy, Sticky Business (60’s bubblegum pop) and The Beach Comb Overs. Also on Saturday there’s an early show at TT’s with Thomas Dybdahl, from Norway and Marc Pinansky. Dawin Deez brings his quirky pop to the Brighton Music Hall with Rumble Finalists Spirit Kid and Andre Obin. Sunday night is another good night at the Brighton Music Hall with Jimbo Mathus + Tri State Coalition and Roy Sludge Trio. Jimbo Mathus used to be in the Squirrel Nut Zippers. Monday has Night of the Living Deadhead presenting BJ Snowden at ZuZu and it’s free! Tuesday night has the New York Dolls at the Comcast Center with a couple of other bands called Motley Crue and Poison. And on Wednesday it’s the return of Cibo Mato at the Brighton Music Hall. Welcome back Sean Lennon and company, it’s been too long.
