Show Crush: Keep Me Conscious / Roman Traffic / Herra Terra / Prospect Hill / DJ Joey Green at the Middle East downstairs tomorrow

August 26, 2011

Final shows don’t have to be a bummer, if you don’t let them. Sure, a band you like is calling it quits for one reason or another, but at least they’re giving you a final night of passion and energy. They know it’s the end, the crowd knows it’s the end, so they pull out all the stops and pour their hearts out on the stage. Such will be the case tomorrow night at the Middle East, as arena-alternative powerhouse Keep Me Conscious plays their last show as a band. They’ve come to be known for their larger than life stage show and hard working attitude, they’ve never been known to give less than their best, let alone “phone it in.” To help ease the pain a bit, the night will also mark the release of their final effort, Merci. At least they’re leaving something for us to remember them by.

Helping to send them off in the best way possible will be long time friends Roman Traffic, who had some very kind words to say here; synth rock terrorists Herra Terra; Merrimack Valley upstarts Prospect Hill and DJ Joey Green.
